so Roskilde is sold out and silly as I was, I didn't buy tickets in time! Therefore if anyone has, or knows of someone who has tickets, please let them know that there is a sad Canadian exchange student who would love to buy their ticket from them for her only chance to see Roskilde! EVER!!!

Hey, I don't know how many of you all out there are Facebook members, but if you are and are a fan of Outlandish, join the group "Outlandish Fans"! :)

Hi, I'm not new in this community but this is my first post :> My name is Silja and I'm from Finland. I heard Danish music for the first time three or four years ago in a tv program called Up north, they played only Scandinavian music and I really liked bands like Swan Lee, Kashmir and Junior Senior.
After the tv program I didn't hear much Danish music until last autumn when I heard Comforting Sounds by Mew for the first time ans I fell totally in love with them. I got really interested in Denmark and Danish culture, language and of course music. I found Kashmir and Swan Lee again, and a totally new band for me, Saybia.

I like finding new bands so can you recommend me any good Danish band that you think I would be interested in? :>

I saw Mew and Kashmir in Ruisrock, here are some really bad pictures from there.

xposted from my jóurnal:

I did some youtubing for Danish music videos. Because I know you care.

First off some Tina Dico. Or Dickow as she was called when I went to school with her. The nicest, sweetest singer´in the world

Two from In The Red concerts:

And live on Jimmy Kimmel with Zero 7:

Then we go to Mew, my perhaps favouriteste band.

And Comforting Sounds is one of my altime favourite songs:
That's the video edit, the album version is even longer and better.

Another one of my favourite songs is The Zookeeper's Boy:
and a live version:

Snow Brigade was the song that got me hooked on them. Here it is live:

And She Came Home For Christmas, artsy video:

156 is another of my faves, with a fascinating video:

Oldskool Am I Wry? No:

Carpark North now. The video for Human won a Grammy, I believe. I loves it:
Their big breakthrough hit Transparent & Glasslike is here set to some anime animation thing. Not the real video, but the song is there:

Kashmir is not only a song, it's also a Danish band. Here is Rocket Brothers:

Outlandish is a band I like and respect, although it's not a genre I generally am fond of. But Aicha here is such a beautiful song:

Now that I have spent all this time looking for vids, the least you can do is check some of them out. Right? Just one or two. It'll do you good.

Antony and the Johnsons: Hope there's someone
Cripple and the Starfish (unofficial, amazing video):

Not Danish, but so very beautiful.
